Description:

Ranked 1st globally in THE subject rankings for research quality in clinical and health subjects (THE2025)

The MSc in Cardiovascular Perfusion provides a high-quality, research-led education that will equip you with enhanced knowledge, understanding and critical awareness of the current approaches and emerging research relating to cardiovascular medicine and perfusion science.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

You will typically need an upper second-class honours degree or international equivalent in a medicine-related, clinical or bioscience subject, including nursing and perfusion-related subjects.

This programme is intended for international applicants who are currently training in or working as a perfusionist. If you are not currently working as a perfusionist, we would recommend you consider applying to the MSc Translational Cardiovascular Medicine or MSc Translational Cardiovascular Medicine (Online) instead.

We will consider your application if your interim grades are currently slightly lower than the programme's entry requirements and may make you an aspirational offer. This offer would be at the standard level, so you would need to achieve the standard entry requirements by the end of your degree.

We will also consider your application if your final overall achieved grade is slightly lower than the programme's entry requirement. If your achieved grade is lower than our entry requirements, your application may be more likely to receive an offer if you have additional relevant work experience or qualifications. If you have at least one of the following, please include your CV (curriculum vitae / résumé) when you apply, showing:

     * evidence of relevant work experience in a clinical-related role, examples include, perfusionist, organ preservationist, operating department practitioner, cardiac physiologist

     * a relevant postgraduate qualification in a medicine-related, clinical or bioscience subject, including nursing and perfusion-related subjects.

See international equivalent qualifications on the International Office website.
